God doesn’t wait until we are perfect so He can love us. Despite our imperfections, His love for us doesn’t shrink. It’s constant. It cannot be changed by circumstances. While people’s love for us becomes smaller each time we do unpleasant things, God’s love remains the same. He doesn’t count our mistakes. He counts our needs. And each time He sees that needs, He fills it with His undying love.
The greatest evidence of God’s undying love for us was when Jesus died on the cross. Those beating, spitting, persecution, suffering and pain, Jesus endured for us to have an everlasting life!
“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” [Romans 5:8]
What an amazing love! We don’t deserve that! But He did it anyway. Never again will you wonder and ask what you have to be thankful for.
